Oct8 Written by:InMoBlog 10/8/2008 5:02 PM We rolled into Reno with the anticipation of making an impression on the Northern California and Nevada motorcycle culture. I hoped for good weather, so the riders would make the pass over from Sacramento. We set up our show truck at the perfect spot in front of Harrah’s on 3rd and Virginia, which happens to be right under the world famous Reno Sign. Indian Motorcycle riders stopped by with their bikes and shared stories about how Indian Motorcycle has touched their lives. I talked to one rider who rode an Indian in WWII. He told me about the bike and what it meant to him to see us back in production. That kind of passion and connection to our brand is awe-inspiring. So many people were enamored with the fit, finish, and quality of the new 2009 Chief. They were excited about the brand’s triumphant return.

Re: Street Vibrations 2008
finally Indian Motorcycle has returned, we weren't there for the big day, but we were there the week end Indian was at Sturgis. Everything is looking good, the bikes are truly a work of art. the products are few, but nonetheless it's nice, and just in time for Christmas. I hope to see new designs for T-shirts and head gear. is there now an official "Indian Motorcycle of Charlotte North Carolina" t-shirt and will it be offered on line? will you be using the "Since 1901" logo of the past? I like to wear t-shirts, IMC t-shirts to be exact. they show pride and have an advertising advantage. Anyway, hope to see more products and new designs. and also, hopefully next year the Chief will be offered in yellow and/or yellow over white that's for me. if I could, I'd have one of each model, in each different color scheme. the bikes are beautiful, thanks and see ya on the road.

Re: Street Vibrations 2008
My wife and I took in the factory tour and the open house at the dealership the other weekend. We really enjoyed ourselves and having a chance to see how the new bikes go together(a work of art). I was a little disapointed with the price of the new bikes. We also enjoyed ourselves at the dealership. Will there be indian t-shirts with Gastonia N.C.?

Re: Street Vibrations 2008
It's all hype FOR the bikes. I AM glad Indian has made a return, no doubt, but the prices are crazy and the roadmaster reminds me of vtx standard with that stupid little fender. Just kinda ruins the effect. I own a '48 roadmaster. I like mine better...
Beautiful bikes guys, did a great job. Looking forward to putting this 105 to the test!!! Ill wait a few years til the price comes down a little to get one...

Re: Street Vibrations 2008
I have always wanted an Indian. I have 3 Harleys and it would be so nice to have an Indian. I think you guys have done a super job and I wish you all the luck in the world. I just can't see how a 30k plus bike will sell in todays market. I myself, would buy one if they were at least priced with a new road glide or road king. I can get a new one of those for around 22 k or 24. Well good luck and I guess I will just have to wait for a used bike.

Re: Street Vibrations 2008
I was there and the trailer and bikes were impressive...the price was a little high. I'll keep my 2000 Chief. Hope you guys come into agreements with the former Indian dealership in Citrus Heights to start selling the new bikes and apparels.

Re: Street Vibrations 2008
Nice display of new Indians in Reno. Manufacturing meticulous, color schemes great. Prices are too high! You missed a great opportunity to at least sell apparell and accessories, if not bikes too. I did not see improvements that would justify selling my 03 Chief Roadmaster with the PowerPlus engine that cost $21,000 new, however! I think pricing that starts above 30K is a mistake that will impact sales and slow growth. Good Luck
