We value dealership owners who are engaged in the business on a daily basis. Extensive experience in the motorcycle industry and successfully running a dealership is a key compenent to the profitability of Indian Motorcycle dealership owners.

All Indian Motorcycle dealerships are independantly owned businesses.  Once the selling and buying parties have submitted a signed asset purhcase agreement, Indian Motorcycle will begin the review process.  All candidates are evaluated equally with heavy emphasis on the buying dealer's business plan, projections, industry experience and financial capabilities.

Anyone can apply to become a dealer.  We value candidates with extensive experience in motorcycle, powersports or automotive dealership operations.

Your Market Development Manager will walk you through start-up costs. These costs vary based on several factors, including the size and condition of your desired facility. In addition to the facility investment requirements for a dealership, the ideal Indian Motorcycle dealer applicant must be able to secure a minimum $1,000,000 credit line and provide adequate working capital to ensure successful operations of the dealership.

Indian Motorcycle does not charge a franchise fee. All of our dealers are independent business owners. Each dealer operates under an agreement to retail and service Indian Motorcycle products.

Our goal is to provide a consistent, premium customer experience that exceeds our rider's expectations at all dealerships.  Your facility must be able to support full operations of a dealership and the Indian Motorcycle brand.  Dealers will work with our retail design team to ensure their facility meets these requirements for all aspects of dealership operations. A Market Development Manager will walk you through the facility and location requirements for an Indian Motorcycle dealership.
